What We Believe
A statement of faith

First, a few preliminary remarks...

We believe that clear statements of faith are important to avoid confusion and heresy. We also believe that, over the
centuries, Christians have spent far too much time, energy, and blood on matters of doctrine.  These conflicts are not
the way of Christ, but derive, rather, from human desire for power.  We believe in seeking ways to love and accept,
rather than exclude and embitter, one another.  We acknowledge that the western church caused the lamentable divide
with the eastern church.  The "power play" manner in which the Nicene creed was implemented by the west and the
despicable behaviour of the crusaders in Constantinople are subject for profound repentance
.  We believe it is
Biblical, necessary, and desirable to make the entire body of Christ welcome in our house
Please pray for unity
in the body of Christ.
We are an empowered evangelical community.  We believe that ...

1. The Bible in its original manuscripts was God-breathed and remains an utterly infallible guide given to us as a blessing.

Scripture alone (Sola Scriptural) is the sole authority for the Church and for us. No person, no institution, no
tradition exceeds the authority of scripture which must be read, studied, and adopted by each of us.  This does not mean
that long established tradition or anointed teachers should be ignored, much less disrepected.  Rather, each of us is
accountable to comprehend and apply God's word.

2.  We believe that the Apostle's Creed expresses Biblical truth. Essentially,
there is one and only one God in three
persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father is the sole creator of all that was, is, or ever shall be. The Son,
Jesus, was born of a virgin, was fully both person and God, was crucified that our sins may be forgiven, died, rose
again, ascended to heaven, and shall return. The Holy Spirit was sent to us and remains with us today as an advocate.

3.  Our salvation, in fact our continued existence, is solely a function of God's grace (sola gratia). As sinners, we
deserve eternal judgement.  Yet,
in His compassion, loving kindness, and mercy, God has given us a pathway to
eternal life as an unmerited gift.

4.  Faith in Jesus is the only pathway to salvation (sola fidele). Jesus is the one and only saviour. Accepting him and
abiding with him is the one and only one way.  Any person whatsoever who seeks Jesus shall find him.  Any person
whatsoever that truly accepts Jesus and abides with Him in faith shall be saved.  No action by any living or dead person
whether charitable, intercessory, sacramental, or sacrificial is sufficient.

5.
Each Christian is called to evangelize the world whether through ministry, missions, or simply sharing God's
love in some way with family, friends, or strangers.

6.  The Holy Spirit continues to act in lives today and God's Kingdom is present today.  In order to increase our
faith, bless us, and to increase His kingdom, there may continue to be signs and wonders.  Obedient prayer for
emotional, spiritual, and physical healing continues to bless our lives today.  God continues to give us spiritual gifts; and
we should minister in them to bless others in a way consistent with Biblical teaching.
Our statement of faith is deeply and
broadly rooted in both scripture and
church teaching and tradition.  If you

scripture reference, please

Isn't it time you had  faith in something other than our culture which can't answer you're questions, which is immoral, which is
manipulative?  I s it time to follow a leader who won't lie to you, but has already put your interests before his own?  Who in fact has died
for you rather than pursue his career?  My personal testimony: I got fed up with the uselessness of modern life...it's meaninglessness, its
loneliness, its struggle leading to nothing but the chance to struggle more.   I searched through western culture, turned it inside out and
nothing worthy but faith in Jesus.  Curious? Desperate? Just hanging out and want to know more?  Contact me at

Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried.  He descended to hell on the
third day rose again from the dead, ascended to heaven, sits at the
right hand of God the Father almighty, thence He will come to
judge the living and the dead;
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the
communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection
of the body, and the life everlasting.

Amen.
